I have been sitting children since I was a Pre-teen. I sat for many, many families and still do. I was the go to person in our neighborhood for sitting. When ever I sit, the Children always ask their parents when I can come back. I grew up with many nieces & nephews. I sat for them all the time. I was a Sunday School Teacher at Church and a class volunteer when my daughter was in Elementary School. I am an active member of the Child Care Services and have many happy families that I care for intermittently. I love to spend time with the children that I sit for. We play games, craft and cook together. Around the holiday we do holiday crafts. I recognize each child's birthday and provide gifts. I also bring goody treats here & there with parents consent. I can engage the children for long periods of time. I read books before nightly bedtime. If a child can't sleep, I will sit with them until they fall asleep.
