About Susan

We have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Sue for 4.5 years. We began working with Sue when our daughter was 1 year old, and our son was 3 years old. Having had both positive and negative experiences with nannies in the past, we can say unequivocally that our experience with Sue exceeded our high expectations. Sue is exceptionally dependable, which is critical for a family of two professionals. She consistently showed up on time and was willing to stay late if our jobs required it, though we did not take advantage of her dependability. If there was a known reason for an absence, we knew about it months in advance and could plan accordingly. In addition, Sue was willing to work additional hours and would occasionally watch the kids at night when we went out for a date night. Sue’s prior experience as a nurse, including a school nurse, has given us comfort with her ability to care for our kids. As doctors, we appreciated her thoroughness in communicating any concerns she had about our children’s health. Sue was with us during the height of the COVID pandemic, and we never questioned her judgement. She limited potential exposures, and if there was ever a concern, we worked as a team to manage. Further, as health concerns have arisen with our kids, Sue has confidently enacted care plans, such as daily use of a nebulizer when our son had recurrent croup. Communication is critical in any relationship, especially when managing the care of two young children. Sue consistently sent us photo and video updates throughout the day. With any illness, she provided regular updates on our kids’ health. If she took the kids on an adventure to a nearby park, farm or water pad, she made sure to get our approval beforehand, and shared with us throughout the experience. In a sense, we could vicariously join them in the fun. Above all else, Sue’s loving and caring nature showed through in her relationships with our children. Even today, our kids ask when Sue is coming to our house to watch them. The relationship between a family and nanny is a special one, and one that does not end when the job is done. We have never questioned Sue’s love for our kids. She will often say she cares for them as though they are a part of her own family, and it shows. We could not recommend Sue any higher for a family in need of a dependable, responsible, and caring nanny.
