About Susan

After I retired from Wenatchee Valley College I found I needed something to do that fulfilled my need to take care of people - a lifelong passion of mine. That led to taking care of a lady for about 9 years with progressive dementia who now requires 24 hour care - prior to that I took care of a friend for 2 years with a terminal neurological illness who needed help with eating, personal care, transportation to appointments and all daily living chores. Before that I provided assisted hospice care for my dad, my mother and my mother-in- law. I have always enjoyed working with senior citizens- I love to hear their history, their views - I seem to have a natural rapport with them. I am a kind, compassionate, caring person who gets attached to people easily and care for them as if they were part of my family. I can easily leave my personal life at the front door and concentrate on the person I'm caring for. I love being needed and caring for people. I am honest, trustworthy and dedicated.
