About Susan

I'd describe my personality as dedicated, caring and energetic. I'm looking for a part-time job and one that allows me to make a positive difference in a busy family's daily life while at the same time enriching my own. My experience working with children began when I was a teenager juggling babysitting for 3 local families. . My next experience was during my career as a dental hygienist. I treated children of all ages on a daily basis and educated them on preventative dental care. For many children their first experience at the dental office was with me. So as anyone can imagine, some children were frightened and intimidated. It was my job to make them feel comfortable and earn their trust. My greatest experience with children was raising my own two sons. For the past 6 mos. I have been been caring for my grandson who is now 1 years old 1 day a week. I enjoy gardening, hiking, traveling, cooking and fitness classes and spending time with my children and grandchildren.
