Hi! I'm Susan, but everyone calls me Suz. I love helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, nurturing environment. I have several years of experience caring for infants through pre-teens and bring patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with kids. I have a college degree and am CPR and First Aid certified. For the past four years, I worked as a HopSkipDrive CareDriver, safely transporting students and building trusting relationships with families. I enjoy creating fun, engaging days with educational activities, outdoor play, crafts, puzzles, reading, and games. I'm comfortable following family routines, helping with homework, preparing simple meals, and keeping parents updated throughout the day. I'm also available for travel. My goal is to give parents peace of mind while providing dependable, compassionate care for every child.
If I could clone her, I would. She has been one of those rare people who instantly feels like family. At 75, she somehow has more energy, creativity, and patience than people half her age. She can turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure, whether it’s an art project, an imaginative game, or convincing my kids that picking up toys is somehow fun (a true superpower). What I appreciate most is the way she handles emotions. She never gets flustered by big feelings. Instead, she meets children with calm, kindness, and genuine understanding. She has an incredible ability to help kids feel heard while gently guiding them through whatever they’re experiencing. It’s obvious that her understanding of child development comes from both years of experience and a deep love for children. She’s wonderfully down-to-earth, has a great sense of humor, and brings so much warmth into our home. My girls absolutely adore her, and I always know they’re not just being watched—they’re being loved, encouraged, and respected. Finding someone you trust with your children is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do. If you’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with her, don’t hesitate. She is truly one of a kind, and any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her in their lives.
