About Susana

In Chile, my home country, I studied to be a Nursing Assistant. I worked for five years caring for the elderly and five years caring for newborns. When I arrived in the United States, I worked helping two older people with daily tasks such as running errands and driving them to doctor's appointments. Later, I took a course at Norwalk Community College in companion assistant skills. I am a PCA. I am also part of a Team of ladies called Friendly Aid Care. Our objective is to support our patients and their families, to give them the best care. Our job is to help out and take care of patients by taking instructions from their nurses, keeping them company, helping them bathe, getting them meals and groceries, taking vital signs, helping with their laundry, and various other tasks relating to them.
