I'd describe my personality as patient, engaging and calm. I like working with kids because their laughter, curiosity and joy create a bright light in our world. I'm looking for a job where I care for one family throughout the summer months. I'm open to working outside Redmond/Bend area. I started working with kids when I was a teen, babysitting for a next door neighbor. I made my way into teaching kids ages 11-18. I have two kids of my own and I absolutely loved the younger years. In my spare time, I like to garden, sew, play board games, bake, hike, exercise, camp, travel, and scuba dive. One thing you should know about me is that I have a trans son. I follow the lead of any child in my care so that they feel loved, supported and accepted, allowing them to flourish in who they are. My skills include ensuring a safe and positive environment where I create opportunities for children to actively explore and engage in their interests.

Sunny did a great job caring for our daughter so we could have a night out. She sent pictures and updates throughout the evening which we loved. She was also a huge help with our two crazy dogs! We really appreciated her help and hope to have her back in the future.
