About Sumner

Hi! My name is Sumner, and I'm 22 years old. I really enjoy working with children and love being able to be a positive and supportive person in their lives. I have three years of experience working in a school setting, including two years working in after-school care and two years as a Head Start teacher assistant at an elementary school. These experiences have taught me how to be patient, dependable, and attentive to each child's individual needs. I also have coursework in Early Childhood Education, and I enjoy keeping kids engaged with activities like crafts, educational games, outdoor play, and sports. I'm comfortable helping with everyday routines, carpooling, and swimming supervision, and I'm always happy to follow a family's preferences and household rules. I think communication and trust are really important when caring for someone's children, and I would love the opportunity to get to know your family and become someone you can rely on.
