Growing up, my grandma was my best friend; she's not in good health right now so for the past several years I've given her care such as running errands, bringing to haircut, getting her in and out of a wheelchair etc. I work in the restaurant industry and often meet older folks, and truthfully I think I'm just an old soul, because I feel connected with conversation and love to hear stories and enjoy the company.
