About Stuart

Hello! My name is Stuart. I use he/him pronouns, and have been working with kids since I was 14. I suffered a fracture to one of my vertebrae, and missed an entire season of soccer. Instead of sitting on the sidelines, I still wanted to be involved, so I signed up to be the assistant coach of a younger team. I never looked back, coaching and tutoring kids in the community ever since. I am currently a junior at Carleton College in Minnesota, where I am studying to become a math teacher. However, given the option, I prefer attending classes in-person, and am thus taking a leave of absence this term. I experienced online learning firsthand last spring, and want to help students navigate this unfamiliar and impersonal climate. I believe a one-on-one, personalized approach is the best way I can reach students, and will be most helpful given our current predicament. I am willing to meet in-person at-a-distance, or virtually, in order tore my students get the support they need.
