About Steven

I love teaching students one-on-one and seeing their confidence and self-esteem rise as they improve academically. I am an experienced teacher, with 15 years in the classroom as a middle school Language Arts teacher. I have a Master's degree in Secondary English education, and I have an ESOL endorsement. Since I left the classroom, I have been tutoring with students in all grade levels and all ability levels. I especially enjoy working with students in grades 3 - 10. I have a great deal of experience and proficiency in teaching English, math, writing, ACT and SAT Prep, as well as science and social studies. I also have an understanding of Spanish at a conversational level. I can teach your child specific strategies that will make him or her academically successful and more confident. I am a very patient, organized, and methodical teacher. I will work hard to help your child improve his or her academic ability as well as enhancing your child's confidence and self-esteem.
