About Stephen

Hello. I am Stephen, a 57-year-old male in Lawrence, KS. I have a background in Education more specifically Special Education along with professional ministry. My mother had Parkinson's disease, and so I saw first-hand what it was like to live with it. I cared for her when I was not a student in college and graduate school. I have also been a house parent for mentally retarded adults and children where I slept overnight at times. I have current Grad. SPED certification from KU to teach all categories of special needs students; including individuals with multiple disabilities or with most severe and profound conditions. This might include cerebral palsy, visually impaired, hearing impaired, cognitive impaired, autism and so forth. I think if, after seeing your need; if I left my teaching career at this time: I could see myself committing to and taking care of your an elderly man's basic needs until as long as it might be needed.
