I have a passion for teaching students and working one-on-one to help them learn difficult material. I recognize that problems involving numbers or scientific ideas are not everyone's strong suite, but my patience and ability to show how to break down problems has allowed my students understand the material and retain skills to succeed. While in graduate school, I was a teaching assistant for a number of chemistry and math courses as well as a mentor for students. For the past 5 years, I have been a part-time tutor for high school and college students in similar courses in addition to ACT/SAT test prep and assistance with college applications. Stephanie was amazing with my teenager she was easily able to connect with him. Although her specialty is not learning disabilities she did very well meeting his needs. She initially stated she did math and science but over the almost 2 years of working with her she was able to assist in all his classes.
