I worked as a caregiver for 3 &1/2 years. I've worked with people who needed little help and people who were totally dependent on my assistant. I immediately love elderly people. I take care of people, it's not what I do, it's who I am. I would prefer 24, 48, or 72 hour shifts. Weekends are not an issue and if we were to meet, I could give a detailed description of the experience I have. Before working with seniors, I worked mental health for 25+ years in all areas of the field including residential for adults and my last 10 years working with children with behavioral problems learning coping skills, to assist peer interactions, appropriate ways of expressing self to others and many other issues, plus assisting families with school issues and legal issues and hospitalizations.
