About Stephanie

I am a Certified Elementary Education teacher who is exploring options for developing literacy skills outside of the classroom. Learning to read is an extremely complex process and helping struggling learners master requires individualized and small group attention. I am currently in graduate school to become certified as a reading specialist. This program also results in a Level 1 certification, which is a structured literacy program proven effective in helping students with language and learning disabilities including dyslexia. I already completed an introductory course of 15 hours and have a Reading System kit. Because I am not certified yet, I am charging significantly lower rates than a certified instructor while still delivering the same instruction. These sessions do cost more than less intensive sessions to support students who just need a little extra support.
