I have been a Full Time Nanny for over nine years. I have worked with over seven different families now. I also was an Art teacher for four years before being a Nanny. I love helping children grow and learn about new things. In most of my families starting out the baby is two to five months. I try to stay with the family until they start school. Almost all of my families I worked with either moved or their child age out and started school.
We had the pleasure of working with Stephanie for close to two years and to say she was spectacular would be a major understatement. Stephanie started working with us when our son was about 8 months old and stayed with us until he was about 2.5. During that time, she helped him conquer so many big milestones (crawling, walking, feeding himself, cleaning up his toys), and helped him grow into the talkative and happy little guy he is today. Indeed, our transition to pre-k has gone incredibly smoothly and the teachers tell us that he is an absolute delight in the classroom, and most of the credit for that goes to Stephanie. Over the time Stephanie worked with us, I never had any worries about our son’s safety or the quality of the care he was receiving. Stephanie is extremely diligent and dedicated. And having seen many nannies at the park with children over the years, I can confidently say that the amount of care and attention Stephanie gives to the children she takes care of is truly exceptional. I never had any doubt that Stephanie was 100% focused on our child or that any of the decisions she made were for anyone’s benefit but his. Stephanie was also excellent about taking him to various activities in the community (reading at the library, music class, transit museum), and she took him to the park/playground in almost any weather. She even arranged playdates with some of the other children she and our son met at the park. Additionally, Stephanie had far more success teaching our son new skills like cleaning up after himself and beginning to use the potty. She even got him excited about using a handheld vacuum to clean up the peas he’d thrown onto the ground! On top of all this, Stephanie is very communicative throughout the day both with messages and pictures (as a plus she is an excellent photographer—nearly all the best pictures I have of my son were taking by Stephanie). Additionally, whenever we saw Stephanie with our son, it was clear Stephanie genuinely cared for him and that he was very fond of her. He was always excited to see her and it was just so obvious that he felt safe and supported and that he was having fun. Though we all agreed our son had reached an age where he should be in a classroom with other children, saying goodbye was still hard for all of us given how wonderfully the past year-and-a half-plus had gone. We cannot recommend Stephanie highly enough and we have the utmost confidence she will be as much of a success with your child as she was with ours. Seriously – reach out to her now!
