About Stefanie

After the pandemic, I came to value more time with family, especially with my six nieces and nephews, three of whom I lived with for several years (now ages 4, 8, and 11). I discovered I was good at staying patient and calm with kids while supporting my sister in a quiet, non-judgmental manner, both with childcare and housekeeping. I often engaged the kids with arts & crafts, imaginative play and outdoor activities. My other job experiences involve program and operations management for small non-profits, which was like helping manage a large, slightly more complicated home. I'm not afraid to gently but steadily enforce house rules and boundaries, but I will take the parents' lead in matters of discipline and more structured activities. I'm relatively new to Portland, and I would love the opportunity to support local families while spending time with children, who can provide life with so much humor, joy, and meaning.
