I am a retired middle school teacher and new to Care. com. I am a Springfield native and mother to 4 grown sons. While my background has primarily focused on educating children, I have also had 5 yrs of experience caring for my grandmother. It was very important to her and our family that she remain in her home of 65 years, after my grandfather's death. I took a leave of absence to assist caring for her. My duties included companionship, transportation to and assistance with doctor appointments, grocery shopping/errands, picking up prescriptions, meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping. I am a very clean, highly organized and scheduled person. I have successfully and lovingly managed a classroom of 25 students, my own household of 6 and my grandmother's home. I have tremendous patience, a nurturing personality and great devotion attending to those in need. I appreciate your interest in my profile and look forward to hearing from you.
