My daughter was a preemie, born at 27 weeks. She has a feeding tube and requires special care and lots of exercises for development. Because of the g-tube, no daycare near us would take her, so we went looking for a nanny. I had backup care days available through my work, so I used that while we searched for a permanent solution, and that's where we found Soukie. We had other caregivers come who were absolutely not great, and a few quit on us after one day of seeing what was required. Others just didn't show, and the backup service itself was a nightmare. Soukie was the one bright spot in all of that. She was super willing to learn, not at all afraid of the massive amount of information involved, and most of all, friendly and reliable! She was warm and loving with our daughter and we could tell right away she really cares. She had an internship to do, otherwise she would have been our full time nanny. We did end up finding someone great, and she had to go out of town unexpectedly, and so we reached out to Soukie to help us out. She was available and we were so relieved! She is caring for our daughter now as I write this. We will always reach out to her if we need help. It's really hard to find someone you trust with your little one, and we will always be glad for Soukie. She's great with our 3 year old too! If you're thinking about her as a candidate, you should meet her.
