About Sophie

Hi everyone! My name is Sophie, and I am working towards a major in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience to become a therapist for children :) After, i'm hoping to attend graduate school to obtain my masters. My passion for kids started at a young age working in my church nursery, assisting at after-school programs as a study buddy in the Wayzata school district and leading retreat programs that would take a day to teach kids about kindness and courage. In summers, I would assist at the YMCA summer program where I was asked to become a permanent leader for the program. More currently, I am the president of a nonprofit organization branch at my college, where we provide emotional support for children in hospitals. I love working with kids, meeting their families, and sharing in their summer fun. I love being outside, sports, crafts, swimming, and baking. Side note, I love animals, especially dogs! I am able to work between May 15 and August 16 :)
