About Sophie

Hi! My name is Sophie. I am a 24 yr old Chicagoland native, working directly with children in their homes, indoor and outdoor classrooms since I was 16. As an early teen I began working in families with diverse age ranges, twins/multiples, children with differing abilities, and families with pets. I am a loving, energetic, silly person. Modeling compassion, patience, and an open mind is how children will learn those skills. I am a strong believer in learning through hands on experiences and that risks and mistakes are essential for learning. I have a deep passion for nature within early childhood education, and think it's important to work with a family who values being active and outdoors. I am looking for work full time and hope to find a family to grow with. I am open to potential relocations if the fit is right.
