Sophie worked for about 2 months as a full time sitter. My kids loved her and she did well while she was here; she followed my instructions, and was dependable during that time. We were very disappointed, however, when she texted me one hour prior to scheduled shift on a Monday to inform me she was taking another job and wished us luck, followed by no further communication. This obviously left us scrambling to find last minute coverage, and my kids were very upset not to be able to say goodbye to her after spending so much time together. I would have hoped that if she moved on and obtained another position, that the exit would be more professional and allowed us some advance notice (even a few days) to find some other coverage. I'm hopeful that as she matures over time she will learn to improve on these communication skills with employers.
