About Sophie

I absolutely love being around children, and have experience babysitting, tutoring, working at camps, and teaching in classrooms. I graduated Dec 2017 from college with a BA in Elementary Education & English. During the Fall 2017 I was a full time student teacher for a 2nd grade class in Baltimore, and during my college career I completed 3 other teaching internships (one at an all girls boarding school, one working with students with moderate-to-severe learning differences, and a third as a 5th grade ELA assistant teacher). I also directed a creative literacy after-school program at an elementary school. After graduating, I babysat one of the 2nd graders who I had taught previously, helping her with homework, and practicing supplementary work. I then nannied one 3rd grade for a year, before teaching 6th grade ELA full time. I taught 6th ELA for three years, and am currently looking for after-school work (picking up kids from school, homework help, potentially tutoring).
