8 years ago, I decided to switch my career from 15 years of being in the hospitality industry to caring for seniors. Friends and family could not understand why and frankly neither did I. However, after much thought I figured it out! I grew up with my grandparents who gave me unconditional love and support no matter what, I was their heartbeat and their little princess. My grandfather died tragically and after that my grandmother was never the same. I cared for her approximately 8 years before she passed away. I realized at that point that I had a passion and a calling for caring not just for the elderly but also children. I decided to do a course in elderly care and immediately after I went to work. I must say this has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things I've ever done in my life. Just to see a smile on their face makes my day and my job worthwhile.
