About Sophia

Hello everyone! I am a junior Media Arts & Culture (fancy way of saying film) student at Occidental College. I have been babysitting for almost 7 years, starting in my hometown Washington DC, and have worked with ages 6 months to 13 years old. I worked as a nanny for a summer and as a filmmaking counselor this past summer. As a nanny I cared for 2 children from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F, prepared meals for the family, and took the kids and their friends to their respective activities. I am a highly creative and sociable person so I love to facilitate hands-on creative activities. I love cooking and think it is a very important skill to teach younger children. I also love pets and spent my Winter Break taking care of my family's 5-month-old puppy Gus. If what I've said seem to be what you need, I'd love to talk and help your family.
