I've been working with children for over 20 years, and am a certified birth & postpartum doula since 2014. My experience includes live-in, part time and full time care, plus House Manager, Private Chef and Personal Assistant roles. I have ample experience with newborns, toddlers, multiples and big kids, and have worked with UHNW and high profile families that travel frequently. Discretion and professionalism come standard, and a loving, collaborative working relationship follows! Hands on, nature & child-led, creative and playful, but with strong and respectful boundaries so that we all thrive in a healthy environment. I grew up in NH, have a BA in Theatre & Film from Smith College. I am also an artist, filmmaker and Pilates teacher who continues to grow alongside the little ones I care for :) I am very familiar with Montessori, Waldorf and RIE styles, and continue my professional and creative education whenever possible. If you are considering hiring Sophia, or Fia as my daughter would say, the answer is you would be crazy not to. Sophia came into our lives right before my now 7 mo. old son was born. We needed someone flexible and reliable who could seamlessly fit right into our family and Sophia did just that. She quickly bonded with our daughter and soon became her best friend who she was excited to see everyday. Sophia was patient with tantrums and knew how to navigate her big emotions. She was creative in how she would calm her or focus her attention to something fun. Her love for music and art filled our home with beautiful pictures they would draw together or dance parties they would have together. She was incredibly knowledgeable and sweet with our newborn son and was the only one who could get him to fall asleep when he fussed. She also assisted in light housekeeping and cooking meals for us. Sophia will always be an extension of our family and apart of our lives. We love our "Fia"
