About Sophia

Throughout my college and high school years I've had the opportunity to tutor students in a variety of subjects ranging from time management and organizational skills to Latin and mathematics. Learning has not always come easy to me. So, as I got older and gained experience tutoring ESL students and those with learning disabilities, I have been able to empathize with my students by adapting my teaching methods to each unique student's strengths. I am now entering my sophomore year of college at Baylor University as a pre-med biochemistry student! I love tutoring because of the joy and excitement that comes when students are able to understand something that took them time and effort to grapple with! I'm looking for a job that I can work over summer and winter breaks when I am home from college. I always want to ensure that my students are getting the most out of their time with me, so I am always open for criticism and critiques as to how I can assist them better!
