About Sophia

Hi! My name is Sophia. I grew up in a large family and have been the go-to babysitter of my family for some time. I have babysat for infants, toddlers, and school-age children. I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Family Studies. I've had extensive coursework in child and adolescent development, and have worked in professional settings with children at children's museums and the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. Supporting the development of children is important to me, and often I engage in scaffolding techniques with children to best support their psychological, cognitive, intellectual, social, and emotional development. Interacting with children in such a way is not only rewarding and fulfilling to me, but it is a passion of mine.
