I grew up with a single mother who is a Waldorf school teacher and art teacher. Within Waldorf/Steiner schools, children are thought of as having innate creativity, compassion and wonder for the world around them - and I firmly believe this to be true. When I'm taking care of young ones I nurture these qualities as I believe our "inner child" is a life-force that should never be dimmed, even well into adulthood! I am currently looking for part-time work or occasional date-night sits. Beginning mid-September 2024, I will be able to increase my hours to full-time with a family! I started working with children when I was 16 as a babysitter, moving on to full-time nannying as I turned 18. I've predominantly helped with children ages 1-10, although I feel comfortable with any age range. In my spare time, I like to listen to lots of music, sing, dance, write, learn about somatic and trauma-informed psychology and nurture my friendships.
