Sophie worked as our nanny for over a year, caring for our son from the age of 3 months to 16 months. We are only ending her employment because we've decided to enroll our son in daycare to help him socialize with other children more. Sophie’s responsibilities were comprehensive and included preparing and feeding his mother’s milk and nutritious solid foods, engaging in one-on-one play, taking him to playgrounds, reading and singing to him, and putting him down for naps. While our son napped, she diligently performed housework tasks such as cleaning the kitchen, taking out the garbage and recycling, and cleaning pump parts and bottles. She was also prompt in changing diapers to prevent diaper rash and administered necessary pain relief medicine and creams when needed. Her interaction with our son has been incredibly loving and nurturing. He always looked forward to spending time with her and particularly enjoyed the songs she sang from her favorite musicals. Sophie’s patience and care, especially when he was upset or teething, were remarkable. One instance that stands out is when Sophie took time during her own trip to California to travel an hour just to see our son. She brought a thoughtful gift that made him very happy, showing her genuine care and connection with him. Sophie’s ability to handle various situations has been impressive. She took our son to doctor and dentist appointments when we couldn't, provided comfort during shots, and gave detailed feedback from the doctors. Her reliability and punctuality are unmatched. Her homeschooling background has given her a unique, tactile approach to learning and engaging with our son, fostering his curiosity in a fun and effective manner. Sophie’s professional yet friendly demeanor, combined with her caring nature, makes her an exceptional nanny. Hearing our son sing new songs and say new words he learned from Sophie has been a joy. If the opportunity ever arose, we would hire her again without hesitation. Sophie has been a wonderful addition to our family, and we highly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated, reliable, and loving nanny.
