About Sonya

I have loved mathematics for as long as I can remember and I am passionate about teaching mathematics. It is my hope that my students will learn to love mathematics as much as I do. I completed my undergraduate studies at Florida A & M University and my completed my Master's of Mathematics Education at NOVA Southeastern University. During my teaching career I have taught Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, and 7th Grade Math. I have tutored many students in elementary, middle, and high school. I currently teach Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 at a high school in Henry County, GA. My goal is to ensure students gain a thorough understanding of mathematical concepts. Whether you need help with foundational math skills, test preparation, understanding more advanced math topics, or problem solving strategies, I am happy to help you! I have a lot of patience and truly believe anyone can learn math. I am ready to teach you, encourage you, and help you reach your academic goals!
