I've been a babysitter/nanny for a little over 3-4 years now. On my free time I enjoy, reading, taking walks with my dogs, and volunteering. I've been a volunteer at the Boys And Girls Club for 2 years now. I love volunteering, especially because it involves children. In the past, I've been able to work with different families with kids ranging ages from newborns up to teenagers. I've worked with families with many different backgrounds and needs and I believe every experience has made me a better babysitter/nanny. Some of my many responsibilities are: being in-charge of pick-ups and drop-offs, managing schedules, getting kids to start their homework, grocery shopping, scheduling play dates, taking kids to activities, and preparing afternoon snacks, these are just to name a few. Also in being a nanny, I like to make it fun for the kids. I like to be able to bond with them, and learn more about their likes and dislikes are. In that, I like to take kids to get ice cream or some kind of treat when their schedules permit also taking kids to the park or the library. In some occasions, I've been able to take the kids to the zoo, movies, or other places that are enjoyable for the kids. I would consider myself to be a very hardworking person, responsible, honest, and reliable person. I not only try to make it a fun environment for the children, but a safe one as well. I always want to make sure the family is comfortable and knows their kids will be taken care of at all times. I have amazing references from past families I've worked for that know first hand what it is like having me work for them, and who are willing to speak to you if needed.
