About Skylar

Hi! I am currently a mom of four who stays home with her 6-month-old. I also have a 5-year-old and 14-year-old twins who are in school. I am in the process of becoming registered as an in home daycare provider and am hoping to take on a couple kiddos-whether it be during the day or before/after school. I have a keen love for kids and the joy and innocence they embody. My style definitely leans towards compassionate as I understand the importance of child development. I believe that most learning can be done through play but also am very in tune with nature and try to incorporate that into our days. I currently have a bachelors degree in psychology and am nearing the end of my masters in clinical mental health counseling. Because of the season of life I'm in, I'm not in a hurry to establish my professional career. I would rather provide parents with trusted care while doing what I love. I know what it's like to yearn for a village and to feel anxious about leaving our children.
