I have been babysitting since I was 16. I have worked with 9 families, most in the metropolitan area but a few in Buffalo as well. The age range was from 18 months to 12 years old. A few of the kids I took care of had special needs. In addition to taking care of children in private homes, I have also worked with children in professional settings. In 2012 I served in AmeriCorps with a Summer program that consisted of kids who were ages 5-15. My role was to be a mentor, and worked with at risk youth to come up with science based inquiry experiments. During the Summer of 2013 I worked with The Boys and Girls Club and had my own class of kindergarten students.
