I grew up (born in MDR) watching and helping my mother nanny/babysit for many years. As an adult, I cared for the kids of my friends, was a nanny, driver, etc. and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, I couldnt have children of my own. I enjoy kids and have a good rapport with them. I find that my easygoing nature helps kids feel comfortable the moment they meet me. I am creative, athletic, fun and versatile to the child needs and interests in whatever it is they enjoy. I look forward to having the opportunity to help families, especially Single Parents in need of a trusted and caring babysitter/nanny.
Due the fact that I do not have outside commitments, I can be flexible with my schedule which has always been a benefit to the families I have worked for.
For the last 5 1/2 years I've been with my current family and helped raise their 3 beautiful children but unfortunately there was a layoff. 
I am now looking for my next forever family.

Silvia was our nanny for many years, throughout the pandemic and beyond, helping us in numerous ways and improvising with our changing needs. Our 3 children have grown up and we don't need the support we once did, otherwise we would still be working with Silvia! She is dependable and loving, with a generous spirit and love for others (including dogs, and she helped us with our dog in so many ways too!).

Silvia has been a nanny for our family for over five years. She has managed after school pick ups for our three kids, as well as light household chores and help with our pet. She also enjoys coordinating play dates and getting to know other parents. Silvia is a very caring, incredibly reliable and committed nanny. Since our kids are older now, we no longer need after school care, but we'd definitely recommend her for a new family.

From the very beginning, Silvia impressed me with her professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for my child. She createed a nurturing and safe environment where my child thrives and feels secure. Her dedication and commitment to my child's well-being is evident in everything she does, from planning educational activities to providing emotional support.
One of the many things that stood out is her ability to instill and engage with my child, social and emotional awareness interacting with other children. I can’t even begin to express how fundamental this was and has taught her how acclimate beautifully in new environments with other children. Something that doesn’t come naturally or as easy to only children like my daughter.
I always feel at ease knowing that my child is in Silvia’s care. Her trustworthiness and reliability has been remarkable. She always arrives on time, communicates effectively, and handles any situation with calm and competence.
Silvas ability to bond with my child has been extraordinary. They share a special connection that goes beyond any caregiver/child dynamic.. Their relationship is filled with love, laughter and mutual respect. She truly cares for my child as if she were her own.
In summary,  Silvia has been a blessing to my small family. Her exceptional caregiving skills, coupled with her kind and loving nature, make her an outstanding nanny. Sylvia is a great nanny, and wonderful human being! Like every parent, you want to hire someone who really cares for children. A person with a natural aptitude for entertaining, and enjoying fun alongside your child. Sylvia Brings a lot to the table, experience, hard work, a cheerful fun attitude, and a willing and eager attitude. I  am a teacher, and Sylvia helped me with my only child who is 19 months. She gave me advice, and helped me navigate and work through difficult times that I didn't have experience with. She has experience working with persons from newborn stage and onward. Sadly, because I relocated we had to part. We still check in from time to time. She became a friend of the family and I will always be forever grateful for having her there in my family's life during a crucial part of my sons development. I would definitely rehire again, and give her the highest recommendation!

We went home to Los Angeles for the holidays and needed a nanny for a month and we were lucky to find Silvia. She was great with our 3/1.5 year old toddlers and fit right in with our family from day 1.   100% reliable and dependable.  We would definitely hire her again if we had the chance!   Highly recommended.

Silvia helped us as a full time nanny for our 5 year old daughter and 1+ year old son for 9 months. She was very responsible in caring for both of our children and helping us with our 2 dogs as well. She was enthusiastic and eager to engage the children with different creative activities that met their needs given their age difference. She was also very flexible and eager to help us with our child care needs based on our variable and busy schedules. Our son will be starting preschool, so we no longer need full time many care, otherwise we would be happy to continue having her care for our family. Silvia is the best! She was the first person that I ever hired from Care.com and as a nervous 1st time mom of a newborn she put me at complete ease. She was amazing with my baby, my dog and me! I don't know which one of us will miss her most. We were only visiting LA temporarily otherwise we definitely would have kept her longer.  She will give your child and your pets tons of love and send you loads of text messages and photos so that you know all is well.

Silvia is such an amazing caregiver! We are very fortunate to have found her. She cared for our 4.5 year old and 2 year old many times and loved them like her own. Silvia was always great with communication, punctual, detail oriented and, in general, just wonderful with our kids. The only reason we aren't still with Silvia is because we moved out of state!

Silvia has sat for two toddlers several times and our girls love her. We were instantly at ease when she first arrived and we all felt very comfortable.  She's extremely flexible which works well with our changing schedules. We look forward to continue working with her! 

Interviewed Silvia. Has very good experience, and very caring. Showed very good knowledge of the job, what it takes, and qualifications. My wife and I interviewed multiple candidates for our 4 month old daughter full time, and were very impressed with Silvia. Highly recommend.  Good references as well. We plan to contact her in the future. If it wasn't for a sudden family change of plans, would have hired!

Silvia, has been watching out 9 year old son for two years--she's been great. Dependable, punctual, attentive and caring! She treats all of the kids she babysits as if they were her own!

My daughter who is 8 says Sylvia is "Sweet, kind, amazing, nice, helpful, and positive". My 4 year old son and 8 year old daughter have been babysat by her about 4 or 5 times. They have no reservations going to her house on our date nights, which is big for my kids. She is very easy to deal with, Very kind, honest, and easy going. I completely trust her with the kids :) they always have a good time! I was referred to her by a friend, and am so thankful for her!
