About Sidney

Hello! A little tid bit about me: I studied Interior Design as my undergrad degree and decided to peruse art education because I missed working with kids. My program identified itself as creating artist educators which I 100% stand by. My job is to help students learn about the elements of art and principals of design through using different mediums to create art. I aim to teach kids about how art is everywhere around them and that they too can contribute to our world through art and design. Whether it is through web design, presentations, painting, cooking/baking, photography, jewelry design, wood working, and so much more, I strive to teach the skills and tools needed for them to continue growing their passion. My art projects also teach life skills of research, problem solving, persistence, and team work. I am K-12 Art certified in both New York and Iowa. I just moved here to Iowa and am looking to continue my passion of educating artists.
