Hi, I'm Chey (pronounced "Shay")!

I have 14 years of childcare experience, including 7 years as a full-time nanny. I'm American Red Cross certified in Babysitting, Infant/Child/Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED, and I'm fully up to date on all vaccinations (Tdap and COVID boosters).

I've worked in diverse settings including summer camps, daycares, schools, and private homes, and I also bring tutoring experience from college-level and assistant teaching roles. Parents describe me as reliable, creative, and caring, with a strong balance of fun and structure.

We hired Shynique to help take care of our boys while at a wedding in New Jersey (we were visiting from out of state).  She was great with communication, on - time, and was a great help while my husband and I were able to enjoy the wedding.  She was also extremely flexible and flexed her hours to accommodate for ours. We really appreciated that and would hire her again.

Shynique is extremely kind and our son warmed up to her immediately! It was difficult for my wife and I to even consider leaving our son with anyone because of the pandemic, but Shynique took all those worries away. Highly recommend Shynique's services.

Our daughter loves Chey. She keeps her engaged with play, reading books and songs. Chey also helped with additional needs like preparing her meals/snacks & our daughters laundry. She genuinely cares about the kids and you can see it in their interactions together. We will continue to request Chey's care.

Chey babysat our 4 month old and was our very first babysitter. She was a trooper and patient and communicated very well with us when he was fighting his bottle. Now that more time has passed since she babysat we know how hard that night must have been and are even more appreciative of how she handled him and us! Unfortunately we had to cancel the following night we had her booked for because we needed to work on him taking a bottle in general and she was overly understanding about a not great situation. We definitely recommend her!

Shynique was wonderful with our two young daughters during our trip to NYC. We had great peace of mind knowing that our kids were in her care. She was dependable, flexible,  honest, friendly and kind. We will definitely reach out to Shynique for babysitting during future NYC trips.

Chey was great with my 14 month old daughter. She was extremely warm and friendly. My daughter has a bit of separation anxiety, but Chey was not put off in the slightest by it, which made me and my wife feel at ease during our date night. We highly recommend hiring Chey and would certainly hire her again in the future!

Chey was great with my kids right away- she's playful but sets rules with clear language so the kids know what her expectations are. She helped out babysitting for us one day and got the kids outside, to lunch and more outside so I could work:) They had a great time and I would definitely hire her again!

Chey cared for my two children and was fantastic. She's very knowledgeable and caring. Was punctual and very flexible with timings and my needs. She gave me updates when she took them out. I felt like they were in very good and safe hands.

Chey is patient, kind, and energetic. She watched our 18 month old daughter full time and in just a few weeks she taught her how to sign (and even speak) multiple words. In just the first few days she had her eating by herself with utensils. Our daughter had so much fun with her - she took her to the park every day and even found class options for her to try. She is also well spoken and a great communicator. She kept us updated on various milestones and sent us tons of pictures/videos throughout the day. She would also research and send suggestions for developmental aides/toys as well as other product recommendations as needed. Chey is great with kids - your child will love her!

Shynique helped us for a few weeks with our 8 month old boy. She was very engaging with him and full of energy to learn and play at his level. She is a natural with babies and was a joy to have in our home!

Shynique was great! She accommodated our last minute schedule changes to come earlier, and our little girl quickly took to her.

She was great with our twins, even when they were going through some separation anxiety. She taught us a few great tricks, and is really engaged with the kids.

Shynjque watched my 18 month old and is very caring and attuned to her needs.  She is helping raise a sweet child and able to provide gentle guidance / not just watching and entertaining, but also helping the little person grow.  As a special bonus she speaks Spanish and some ASL (sign language) and it is sweet to see our baby (toddler) light up and respond to her presence.

Shynique was a great caretaker to our 5 year old and 2.5 year old girls. They had a blast spending time with her, and she helped maintain structure during their day. She is responsible, communicates well with parents, and maintains discipline while being caring to those under her supervision.
