Shurrita was an awesome caregiver for our family! She took on each new challenge and gave wonderful care to not just one, but both of my parents. There was a lot for one person to do to take care of all the needs for the two of them. They both had their own multiple health issues. She worked with us to do what needed to be done and helped us identify and request equipment when needed. She considered and addressed quality of life in addition to daily ( and nightly) needs. She handled light housekeeping, cooking, bathing, dressing, medications that were directed by medical providers, encouraging fluids, eating, and appropriate exercise. Also required in their care were catheters, colostomy bags, and following directions provided for wound care when the need would arise. She did a good bit of documentation/ charting of numerous data, including vitals that were typically collected 2 times a day ( more if the situation warranted it). There were times when she was the only other person in the home for PT, OT, home health providers, and primary house doctors. She gave good information to them ...took notes....and helped me participate via telephones and /or cameras when I could not be there in person. Additionally, she still goes to visit them in the skilled nursing center. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
