I am a college educated mother who can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. I have been helping different families with infants starting from 1-month-old for about 10 years. All families are very satisfied with my extensive work experience and commitment. I am currently helping one family for 2 days weekly and looking into an opportunity to help another family for another 2 to 3 days per week. I am also ready to switch to a full time position with vacation and holidays paid if I am a good fit. My preferred full time hourly rate is $25 for the first child for 8 hours minimum per day and $27 hourly preferred for part time.

Hannah is an absolutely wonderful caretaker. She watched my child regularly for four months and was always early, flexible, kind, and my child loved spending time with her. Shuk (Hannah) has been caring for my 1 year old son for 9 months now and I couldn’t be happier. She is ALWAYS on time if not early. There is such relief knowing my son is in excellent hands. Hannah doesn’t just supervise, she is constantly interacting with him by playing, singing, teaching, and loving on him. Very caring and experienced. She is always on time and responsible. She is attentive to my 2 year old daughter during our short stay in Vernon Hills. I can trust her well and be rest assured my girl is well taken care of. One thing I like most is she planned all outdoor and library sessions for my daughter in advance so my girl wouldn’t be stuck at home whole day. My girl enjoyed the time spent with her as well. Would recommend her to anyone who needs a babysitter in the area. 

Hi we moved into the northern suburbs area last year and found Shuk on care.com so we hired her to care for our two young boys (one newborn and the other one 2 year old at the time). She’s been great with the kids, never late, in fact she always arrived earlier than schedule so it’s very reassuring that you can count on her. She loves taking the kids to the library, and the parks to play. She sings sweet lullabies to our toddler before naps and have been potty training him as well. She also loves baking so she would often make and bring delicious homemade snacks & treats that our whole family love. Shuk’s also bilingual and speaks Chinese as well as English. This was much appreciated in our household since my husband is from the States but grandparents on my side only speak Mandarin. Overall we’ve been very happy with her and would recommend her if you’re looking for a quality nanny.

Shuk is a wonderful caretaker for my 18 month old son. She is incredibly reliable, and my son is always so happy to see her when she walks through the door. She keeps him active throughout the day, taking him to the library, the park, out of on walks, etc. and she is very attentive - always playing with him, reading him books, and singing him songs. She keeps the house tidy and helps with dishes and laundry, as well as brings us treats that she bakes! We are so thankful to have found her to care for our son, and know that he is in good hands with her.

Shuk (Hannah) is a great childcare provider who is compassionate and caring with our children. She is reliable, punctual, and good at communicating. She has been providing care for our 2 children most Saturday mornings since Fall 2022. I've personally seen her soothe our infant child to sleep in the most caring way. She also works well with older children such as 4 year old preschoolers. Our children love her. We were seeking a care giver who would also help with light household tasks, and Hannah does tremendous work jumping right in with helping with other important household chores such as folding laundry, washing baby bottles, and dishes. We were feeling quite overwhelmed with the arrival of our 2nd child with no family nearby, and having Hannah's help from just a short time every week has improved our well-being. We would recommend Hannah to any family.

Hannah (Shuk) has been taking care of my little one now 16 months old for the last 9+ months and we are grateful for her! She is always on time (if not early), she is 100% engaged with our son at all times and is very knowledgeable on childhood development/milestones. We hired Shuk to take care of our 14 month old baby girl and we highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a nanny. She is punctual, dependable and caring to our baby. Hannah took care of our 7 month old and we were very happy with her care. She is highly energetic, positive, and very caring. She read to my son, took him out for walks, sang to him, fed and put him down for naps on schedule. She would also help out with other household chores when the baby is sleeping and was very proactive at everything. Ms Hannah is also a fantastic communicator. She keeps us in the loop regarding feedings, diaper changes, and solids. She knows how to safely feed baby solids  and is a great source of resource if we have any questions. Overall we were very happy with ms Hannah and would highly recommend her.

She is amazing! We hired her as new parents in a pandemic, with a 5 month old baby & were just struggling in general. The 1st day she walked in, she got right to work and shockingly our baby took to her immediately. Our baby loves her (he's now 13 months), she is truly like a part of our family. Always on time, super trustworthy, and very professional. She definitely has a natural way with babies and kids!  And she is like an encyclopedia of baby/child care knowledge, and would make helpful recommendations by really getting to know him (every baby is different!), studying his patterns and applying her knowledge of child development, and then giving us crucial insights. We still credit her w/ getting our baby to sleep through the night within weeks of us hiring her. Even though she only worked twice a week from 9-5, her positive impact has been huge on our family. Being so knowledgeable, so caring and reliable, she's an absolute expert. Hiring her was the best decision, she is awesome!

She is a great nanny, very interactive and engaging with our child.  She is proactive in going out and finding activities.  She also helps with light housework, such as laundry and doing dishes.

Shuk was a volunteer in our church nursery, she spent a lot of hours, a lot more hours than other helpers in the nursery, as she truly loved being together with the babies and toddlers. She always took very good care of the babies and toddlers. She was very experienced, knew how to calm a crying child, when to feed them, when they were tired and ready for a nap, always changed babies' diapers promptly. She talked to the babies and toddlers a lot and taught them to talk and sing, I still remember that one parent told me Shuk taught her daughter the first word in her life. I would definitely recommend her to anybody without any reservation!

Shuk is so incredibly sweet with our daughter! She has been with us since our kid was 3 months and now our kid is 1.5 years old. She teaches our daughter Chinese, sings and dances with her, and keeps our daughter safe. Shuk will offer suggestions when we as parents can feel stumped.
