About Shirley

I have been a caregiver for most of my life - mother's helper, babysitter, nanny and mother of four. In 1991, I took care of my mother in her last year of life. In 2012, I was hired on as a Caregiver in an Assisted Living Facility and received well over a thousand hours of intense, hands-on training, working the busy floors, providing direct care, ADLs and whatever needed - transfers, ambulation, errands, etc. In 2014, I provided 24/7 end-of-life-care for a loved one, administering medications, dressing wounds and providing comfort. I love caregiving and I feel a 'calling' for this work. I have extensive experience in all levels of personal care. I consider myself proficient in all things domestic. I am a competent cook with much knowledge in health, nutrition & wellness. I like to keep busy and look for ways to be creative. I love pets, gardening and being outdoors. Thank you, Shirley
