About Shilo

Hello! I am a licensed child care worker currently employed at a child care center in Everett where I am a teacher in the school age classroom, though I spend a lot of time with other age groups while the older kids are in school. I am up to date on CPR and first aid, safe sleep, food safety, and I take regular courses in a variety of topics. My work experience includes security and several years as a 911 dispatcher. I come from a large family and always played some roll in taking care of the younger kids. In high school I volunteered at an elementary school and an after school program for at-risk youth. I am a big fan of play-based learning, routines, giving choices, and helping kids understand and manage their big emotions
