If you’re looking for someone who you want to become a part of your family, hire Sherry. Being military and first time parents not having family around we needed someone we could trust. We found Sherry through our local church and she babysat our two children regularly for over four years before we had to move to another base and I wish we could have taken her with us. First off, she is a remarkable woman and an extremely competent sitter for our children. She is professional, easy going, and very reliable- just everything you need and want in a sitter. Sherry has a gift with children in the way she balances both the fun and need for discipline/redirection through her positive reward system. She is proficient with feeding, changing diapers/potty training, and doing fun activities with the kids- (FYI she’s NOT the kind of sitter who lets your kids watch tv or be on their iPads all day!) The one thing I noticed right away about Sherry was her genuine love for kids- her joy and laughter being around them and how she instantly bonded with ours… This gave us such great reassurance as parents knowing whenever we needed a sitter that we had someone we could rely on and who our own kids also really enjoyed and grew quickly to love. At the very beginning when I was a new mother I was so anxious and had no idea what I was doing and Sherry stepped in and helped mentor me through it. When our second child came along, my mom had just passed away from cancer, and through my through grief Sherry was there for me when I needed her the most. Not only did Sherry help us raise our children during those critical years, but in a way she helped raise me to be the wife and mother God has called me to be. Sherry has a special place in each of our hearts and will always be a part of our family- and you will be forever blessed to have her a part of yours!
