As a former Special Education Teacher, I have successfully raised two children of my own. Forced to take an extended medical leave from education in 2010, I decided to help those young families that required childcare services. As a former full-time employed mother/dual-income family, I understand the importance of having a quality, dependable, and trust-worthy daycare provider. I also understand the importance of providing constant, positive reinforcement and a fun, loving, and nurturing environment. My resume includes caring for twin infant boys, many other infants and children, and most recently a 5-week-old infant who will soon be a year old. Along with providing the necessary care for these children, I also encourage developmental skills, singing, indoor and outdoor play, walks, swimming at local parks/splash parks, story time at local library, reading, and lots of fun! I have also provided other duties within the household to make lives easier on everyone!
We love Shelly! I was nervous about hiring care for our little one but since I work from home we decided to give it a try. From the moment we met her, all my worries disappeared. She has loved our baby, and us, as if we were her own family. Shelly helped get our baby napping in her crib and got her on a schedule. After putting the baby down for a nap she helps with tasks around our home. She has helped with dishes/cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, tidying up the livingroom, laundry, letting our dogs out to potty, finding recipes to try for baby, and meal prepping for the little one. On days I didn't have extra tasks for her, she found something to do. She even picked up plums a couple of times when our baby was having tummy issues. Shelly always comes in with a smile and happy attitude. She goes above and beyond and our baby LOVES her. Shelly is always on time and offers flexibility should we need it. We are blessed to have had her in our home. The only reason our time is ending with Shelly is due to my being laid off and no longer needing care, otherwise we would never let her go! Shelly is an amazing human being and would be a priceless asset to any family.
