About Shelley

I have worked for 22 years as a home care professional and have in recent years incorporated senior care such as running errands, handy ma'am jobs, and other additional personal services for my elderly clients. I have volunteered with The Hospice of Baton Rouge over the last year and a half and have given care on a live-in basis to a person with advanced Alzheimer's disease. I am called to this work, and particularly working with older adults who need a compassionate companion and caregiver. I am organized and efficient and enjoy preparing delicious meals and guiding activities that provide appropriate stimulation and enjoyment. Also I have lived with my mother (age 82) and have given care to her on a daily basis for over 5 years with the help of my siblings. I have done extensive reading and personal study of caring for the elderly and dying.
