About Shelley

Experience: 6 yrs

I have experience being a Nanny for infants and toddlers. I'd describe my personality as positive, active and calm. I like working with kids because they are precious and find silly ways of making me smile. I'm looking for a job that is part-time, limited to 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. M-F. I started working with kids when I became a babysitter at age 13. Then, I helped my Mom to raise my younger siblings. In my spare time, I like to play with my dogs, bake and garden. One thing you should know about me is, I'm a former teacher with McKinney ISD. My skills include activity, responsibility, reliability and teaching.

While my autistic, teenage nephew was living with me, Shelley was an incredible help. She encouraged him to engage with activities of daily living such as maintaining his hygiene, adhering to a sleep schedule, and eating a more reasonable diet. Shelley was also able to help him with his school work and replaced the loss of structured education during the summer. Shelley is caring, competent, and reliable.
