About Shelby

Hello, my name is Shelby! I am an educated professional with a deep passion to serve my elders. My life's purpose became clear after providing care for my grandmother and supporting her as she fought a decade long battle with breast cancer from 2001 to 2011. I knew I was meant to serve and advocate for my elders just as the compassionate healthcare workers who deeply moved and inspired me by helping my beloved grandma. I have worked in senior care settings such as assisted living, memory care, and nursing homes since 2014. I was a receptionist and activities assistant at a senior care home while I attended USF working towards my Gerontology degree, and through hard work I have progressed to a management position focused in Accounting.
