With 15 years experience as a babysitter, 10 years as a nanny, and several additional years experience with children in areas of education, you'll find that my background in childcare is very diverse. I have worked with children ages 3mo-17yrs and have a deep appreciation for all stages of development. I have participated both personally and professionally in the care and education of children with various special needs and have a great compassion for them. I obtained my degree in counseling and have taken college classes to aid in my understanding of child development and temperaments. I've worked very closely with many children with special needs as well as general education children. I've found that I have a passion for the emotional and mental state of a child as it relates directly to education.

We were so pleased to have Shelby care for our twin girls this year. She is an extremely calm, flexible, patient and kind caregiver. Typically our children take awhile to warm up to a new person, but they were immediately comfortable and connected with Shelby. She joined our family while our girls were about to commence potty training. When we disclosed this to her during the interview process, she was completely unfazed and even excited to be a part of this milestone. Shelby shared many of our same morals and values too which was important to us when finding a caregiver. She earned our trust through her clear communication skills, reliability and trustworthiness. It became immediately evident that Shelby understood the role she needed to fill, not only as our nanny, but also as an extended part of our family. Our girls adore Miss Shelby and we plan to ensure she remains a part of their lives.
