About Shelby

Hello! My name is Shelby, and I am 27 years old. I am currently the assistant coach for the swim team at MSUM. I graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology and I finished my masters degree in 2021 in sport psychology. I grew up with two younger brothers caring for them when needed, and I also babysat many of my cousins and families in my town I grew up in. I also worked as a swim coach and a private swim lesson instructor which has given me a lot of experience working with kids teaching them how to swim and helping them improve their swimming skills. I spent the 3 years nannying full time in the summer and part time during the school year for two girls who were ages 7 and 9. I feel very confident in my skills and abilities, as I was responsible for providing a safe, secure, fun and enriching environment for the girls.
