About Shelby

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, determined, and considerate. I like working with kids because I always have from a young age! They always keep the days interesting and fun. I'm looking for a job that allows me to get to know the kids and takes up a lot of time this summer. I started working with kids when I worked teaching children 3 years old and up. I love to incorporate fun activities from that experience in my childcare today. I've nannied and babysat for children 3 months-12 years old and as many as 4 at a time. In my spare time, I like to read books and study for grad school that I will be starting in the fall. One thing you should know about me is I'm a hands on care giver. I try to have as much fun with the children as possible to hopefully get them worn out by the time you're back! My skills include playing with the children, and instilling the importance of chores and responsibilities on the children (based on their age).
