Hi my name is Shekinah I'm 24 years old and a mother of one 4-year-old child. I was a CNA for two years and I worked at an agency helping out in different nursing homes that I was assigned to. In the nursing homes I was in charge of 5 or more residence depending on how many would be on each row of the hall. And for the residence I would feed, shower, dress, and change briefs. Unfortunately after I had a newborn I was unable to renew my CNA license but I did go and get my QMAP license so I am QMAP certified and CPR certified. What I love about caregiving is the connections I got to build with the residence and the stories I got to hear about their lives and it made me value my life a lot more and not take the time I have on this earth for granted but to make the most of it.
